It’s eerie, sitting here at the office… It’s dead quiet.
Well, not quite dead, but close enough to it.
A day and a bit till weekend. Then New Years Eve. New Year’s Day. Then back into the fray.
Hopefully we get our new equipment at the office, come middle of January. Then the Big Rebuild happens. Exchange servers. Active Directory servers. Domain Controllers. File servers. New switchboards. New cabling. KVM switches. UPS’s.
I can see myself not sleeping for a few days…
It’s good to be doing real techie work again. Not “home IT” as a colleague once put it.
A week to Christmas Day…
Done your shopping yet? I haven’t. But then again I haven’t had much of a chance to do much other than work lately. It’s good to be busy again. Busy enough to get home at night and feel exhausted. Busy enough not to feel bored. Busy enough to keep my mind occupied so that it doesn’t dwell on other things.
Anyway… we had our company function this last Friday so things are quiet at work as many people have gone on leave. I’m busy doing website tenders for my company and listening to music (E Nomine) recently acquired from a gaming buddy of mine.
